The SC-215 exists so the chair across the table speaks the same language as the banquette. Its high back is upholstered in vertical channels (five in the reference design) or a single center-stitched seam, with contrast or self welt and a choice of tapered wood, slim steel or metal-tipped legs.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame with mortise-and-tenon or dowelled and glued joints, corner blocks screwed and glued; seat of HR foam over webbing or ply deck; back foam shaped for lumbar support. Legs can be solid wood, powder-coated steel or wood with metal sabots.
Specifying it. Match channel width to the banquette so verticals align visually across the table. COM requirement depends on channel count and welt; a fully upholstered chair of this type typically falls in the 2-3 yd range of plain 54 in fabric, stated exactly on the drawing. Specify glides suited to the floor finish (felt for timber, nylon or PTFE for stone and tile).
Where it works. Fine dining and hotel restaurants opposite channel banquettes, private dining rooms, and any room where chairs and banquettes must read as one family.
