The SC-216 is specified for the lounge side of a venue, where guests sit longer and lower. Three variants share a lounge seat height of about 15-16 in (38-41 cm): an outer shell in bent wood with COL inner upholstery; a fully upholstered sculpted shell with contrast welt; and a channel-back version with roll arms on a brushed metal ring base.
Construction. Hardwood internal frame; seat on sinuous springs or webbing with HR foam and fiber wrap for a softer sit; metal ring bases are fabricated steel with a plated or powder-coated finish. Swivel or fixed bases on request.
Specifying it. Lounge chairs consume substantially more COM than dining chairs - typically 5-8 yd of plain 54 in fabric depending on version - and leather versions are quantified in square feet with a waste allowance for hide yield. Pair with low tables of about 15-18 in (38-46 cm). Check that swivel mechanisms are specified for contract use.
Where it works. Hotel bars and lobby lounges, members' clubs, waiting areas and the lounge zones of restaurants.
