The SB-101 is the reference channel banquette in the Spec Seating library: a 47 in (120 cm) high back divided into vertical channels about 4.75 in (12 cm) wide, each finished with a rounded top, held under a continuous 2 in (5 cm) brushed metal cap.

Construction. Kiln-dried hardwood and engineered-ply frame with corner blocks, glued and screwed; seat on a ply deck with high-resilience foam; channels individually stuffed so each keeps its profile under use. The base is a recessed plinth in stained hardwood or a specified laminate.

Specifying it. State the overall wall length and we set section breaks so joints fall between channels. Channel width is adjusted per project so a whole number of channels fits each section; tell us if you need the channel count to align with wall paneling or mullions above. Railroaded COM gives seamless seat cushions; the channels themselves are cut individually, so pattern placement on a busy print should be agreed on the drawing.

Where it works. Steakhouses, brasseries and hotel restaurants where the banquette is the architectural spine of the room; long perimeter walls where a strong vertical rhythm is wanted.
