The SB-102 pairs a quilted back with a clean seat: diamonds roughly 10 in (25 cm) across the diagonal, a metal button at each intersection, and a single tight seat cushion that is easy to clean.
Construction. Hardwood and ply frame; back built as a quilted panel over foam with buttons anchored through to the panel, not just to the fabric, so they stay seated in daily use. Seat on HR foam over a ply deck, with welt at the front edge.
Specifying it. Quilting draws fabric in, so COM quantities are higher than for a plain back - we calculate the take-up from your diamond size and state it on the drawing. Fabrics with some give (wovens with a soft hand, upholstery velvets, softer leathers) quilt more cleanly than stiff, heavily backed vinyls. Specify button finish to match other metalwork, or self-covered buttons for a quieter detail.
Where it works. Bistro and brasserie interiors, hotel bars and lounges, and heritage or Art Deco references where a quilted back is expected. The plain seat keeps it practical for high-turnover service.
